At times plagued with personal and financial problems, Denis Charles proved that devotion to music can provide transcendence in the midst of hell.

Following the massive popularity of last year's Jazz Club, the Festival again offers Wellington a very special venue. For the last two weeks of October, the former James Cabaret, 5 Hania St, is converted into a lush new venue specifically for the Jazz Festival to host our premium local and international concert and jazz film series.
